Dmitriy Ovcharenko
Dmitriy is a cell and molecular biologist by training, holding degrees in biology, ecology, pharmacology and toxicology. Dmitriy's main research interest is anticancer therapeutical application of microRNA, small molecules that regulate gene expression of networks of oncogenes. Therapeutical application of microRNA and siRNA oligonucleotides (a part of recently-discovered RNAi phemomena) holds promise for generation of novel gene-targeted medicines against many uncurable diseases. Dmitriy affiliated with several biotechnology companies and consultant for pharmaceutical companies located in USA, Europe, and Russia. Member of the following organizations: American Association for Cancer Research, American Society for Cell Biology, and American Society for Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics.
